Good news for education, health care, public safety, human services, and – oh yes – good news for the economy:

The jobs package that Senate Democratic leaders unveiled today includes a six-month extension of extra federal funds to states.

Failure to extend these funds would lead to even bigger cuts in services than states are already making, as we outline in a new paper.
